Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her performance in films and television since the late 1980s. She has received various accolades including two Golden Globe Awards as well as sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actor. Bassett was raised living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an aunt who lived in New York New York. Bassett, her mother and sister relocated to St. Petersburg Florida when Bassett was five. Their father had split from the mother of their children. Bassett was in high school when saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck play Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal to become an actor come true. After graduating at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980, with a Bachelor's Degree in African American Studies, she went on to earn a Master's Degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She met Courtney B. Vance, a fellow actress at Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. In African-American Studies, the year 1980. Masters of Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her leading roles, Ramonda, in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
